Designed to Be Kind Studio LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates mobile and desktop applications including Leomi (“the Apps”) and the websites at designedtobekind.com and leomi.com (“the Websites”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
We believe in collecting as little data as possible.
What We Collect
Information you provide
- Email address. If you sign up for our waitlist or newsletter through a Website, we collect your email address. This is voluntary.
Information our Apps collect
- Learning progress. The Apps record your vocabulary cards, review history, scores, and scheduling data to personalize your learning experience.
- App preferences. Settings such as your chosen skin, sound preferences, and session configuration.
- Telemetry. The Apps collect usage data such as session duration, feature usage, error reports, and device type. This data cannot be used to identify you and is never linked to your email address or any other personal information. We use it solely to fix bugs, improve performance, and guide product development.
What we do not collect
- Our Apps do not require you to create an account.
- We do not collect your name, phone number, date of birth, or location.
- We do not track your browsing activity.
- We do not serve ads.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
How We Use Your Information
- Email address. We use your email address solely to send you updates (launch announcements, product updates). You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Learning data. Your learning data is used by the Apps to schedule your reviews and track your progress.
- Telemetry. Telemetry data is used to identify and fix bugs, monitor app stability, and understand which features are used. This data is not tied to you as a person. We never combine telemetry data with your email address or any information that could identify you.
Third-Party Services
ActiveCampaign (email)
Our waitlist and email communications are managed by ActiveCampaign. When you submit your email address on a Website, it is sent to ActiveCampaign for processing. ActiveCampaign’s privacy policy is available at activecampaign.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Google Fonts (websites)
Our Websites load the Nunito typeface from Google Fonts. This means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers when you visit a Website. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
App Store platforms
Our Apps are distributed through Apple’s App Store and may be available on Google Play in the future. These platforms may collect data as described in their respective privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for data collected by these platforms.
Data Retention
- Email address. We retain your email address until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Learning data. Your learning data persists until you delete the App or clear its data.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access any personal information we hold about you.
- Delete your personal information. For email, you can unsubscribe or contact us to request deletion. For learning data, you can delete the App from your device.
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information.
Children’s Privacy
Our Apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. Email addresses are stored by ActiveCampaign using industry-standard security practices.
International Users
We are based in the United States. If you use our Websites or Apps from outside the United States, your email address (if provided) may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our Apps or Websites after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
